Social Media Reacts to Cam Newton Fight at 7-on-7 Event
A video of Cam Newton getting into a scuffle went viral on Sunday as multiple people at a 7-on-7 youth football camp ganged up on the former Carolina Panthers quarterback, causing him to retaliate and defend himself.

Details as to what caused the action to go down are unknown at this time. However, several former NFL players and other folks on social media are sticking up for Newton, as they should.
"Young fellas, parents, need to understand when you have someone like Cam Newton giving players an opportunity to display themselves at these 7-on-7 camps, you are supposed to be taking advantage of these situations. Many of times, I've seen clips where I've seen players, I've seen coaches, and I've seen parents disrespect Cam Newton at these camps that he puts on."
"Cam is a better man than me. Because the first time the kids disrespect me, I ain't coming back. No shot. I don't care what Cam's hair look like, how he dresses, the man is taking time out of his day to give back. Show the man some courtesy. Show the man respect. That's the problem with our society."
"I just look at this situation and say, we as a community, have to be better than this. We are so much better than this. I hate seeing this type of stuff. We tear each other down more than we lift each other up. You look at a guy like Cam Newton...he's been doing remarkable things through his foundation to help give back to the youth. We gotta stop it. We gotta be so much better."
Cam'ron calls the kids who tried to jump Cam Newton ignorant, and Mase says Cam Newton should stay out of football youth camps because if he had knocked out one of the kids during the brawl, it would have been a lawsuit.

Every year at camps and 7 on 7 tournaments I see players and coaches disrespecting Cam Newton.

When they should be taking advantage of having him in their space by building a relationship and gaining knowledge.
