Report: Thomas Brown Interviewing with Bears

Another opportunity is on the table for the Panthers offensive coordinator.
In this story:

Carolina Panthers offensive coordinator Thomas Brown is meeting with the Chicago Bears today about their open offensive coordinator job, according to Joe Person of The Athletic.

With a new head coach on the way in Carolina, it's unlikely that Brown remains in place. The Panthers seem to be leaning in the direction of hiring a head coach with an offensive background and will be tasked of piecing together an offense that fits quarterback Bryce Young.

This past season, the Panthers finished the year dead last in points per game (13.9), total offense (265.3), passing (161.2), and 20th in rushing (104.1). As bad as things were for Carolina on that side of the ball, it shouldn't be a major stain on Brown's resume. Between the back-and-forth handling of play-calling duties, a rookie quarterback, and several starting offensive line combinations, the Panthers never had much of a chance to get things figured out.

Brown will also be interviewing for the Tennessee Titans head coaching job this week.
