What Tom Brady's Decision Means for Greg Olsen

No changes are expected to happen this fall in the FOX No. 1 booth.
In this story:

Greg Olsen was one hell of a tight end during his days with the Carolina Panthers and now, is one hell of a color analyst working for FOX.

Olsen has become a fan favorite around the NFL for his knowledge of the game and how he breaks down what each team is trying to or did on the previous play so that the ordinary fan has a better understanding of what is going on.

Olsen joined the FOX broadcasting team full-time in 2021 and this season, he and Kevin Burkhardt bumped up to the No. 1 team, replacing Joe Buck and Troy Aikman who departed for ESPN.

Unfortunately, Olsen won't be staying in that role for very long (as of now). He will be kicked out of the top tandem once legendary quarterback Tom Brady officially begins his role with the company, which was expected to begin upon retirement. Brady and FOX agreed to a 10-year, $375m deal back in May of 2022.

During an appearance on the The Herd with Colin Cowherd, Brady revealed that he will not begin his broadcasting career until 2024 as he takes the next year to study and learn how to do the job at a high level.

For now, Olsen will remain in the main seat and honestly, he should remain there even when Brady arrives.
