XFL WR Gary Jennings, DL Antwuan Jackson Receive Tryout Invites from Panthers
Panthers GM Scott Fitterer continues to show interest in XFL talent and has extended a tryout invitation to St. Louis BattleHawks WR Gary Jennings and Seattle Sea Dragons DL Antwuan Jackson.
Jennings was a fourth-round draft pick of the Seattle Seahawks in 2019 but has only played in one career game, which came with the Miami Dolphins later that season. He has been picked up and thrown onto NFL practice squads several times, playing with the Dolphins, Ravens, Bills, Colts, Raiders, and Chiefs.
This spring with the BattleHawks, he caught 11 passes for 149 yards and three touchdowns. During his time at West Virginia from 2015-18, Jennings recorded 168 receptions for 2,294 yards and 17 touchdowns. His two best seasons came in 2017 and 2018 with former Panthers QB Will Grier.
As for Jackson, he notched 20 tackles and one tackle for loss in 10 games with the Sea Dragons. He played his college ball at Ohio State where he totaled 47 tackles, nine tackles for loss, and 3.5 sacks from 2019-21.
