Report: Antonio Brown expected to have similar Patriots debut to Josh Gordon in Week 2 vs. Dolphins
The biggest question heading into Sunday's Week 2 matchup between the New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins was how receiver Antonio Brown would be utilized in his Patriots debut, just five days after hitting the practice field for the first time at Gillette Stadium.
NFL Network Insider reported Sunday morning how New England plans on utilizing Brown during the AFC East matchup.
"Similar to Josh Gordon's debut last year, the goal will be to get him catches early, get him involved, and get one of the NFL's best receivers some confidence in the scheme."
Rapoport also said that "As one source said, they plan to feed him."
What is still unknown is how many snaps Brown will actually receive during the Week 2 game. As we wrote a PatriotMaven late last week, his usage may depend on how the game unravels. But one can imagine based on their opponent that New England may run up the score quickly and opt to take some of their top starters out of the game. If that happens, then we may not see Brown on the field for very long.
