Report: TE Michael Roberts reverted back to Lions roster

Michael Roberts is reverted back to Detroit's roster and ultimately waived.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - Tight end Michael Roberts, who was traded yesterday by the Detroit Lions to the New England Patriots for a conditional 7th round draft pick, has been reverted back to Detroit's roster per trade conditions. The Lions then waived the 3rd year TE once he was reverted back to the roster. 

The announcement was made by the Lions organization. 

It's possible that Roberts didn't pass a physical, which is why the trade ultimately didn't go down. Maybe New England will take a gamble on Roberts now that he is waived, and this time they won't have to give up any draft capital.
