2024 Final NFL Draft Order: Where Will Patriots Pick?

Results from Sunday's late afternoon games secured the New England Patriots picking No. 3 in next April's NFL Draft.

Silver linings are already starting to emerge from the New England Patriots' worst season in more than 30 years.

In 2024 they will play a last-place schedule. And in April they will pick No. 3 overall in the NFL Draft.

After the Patriots ended the 2023 campaign with a 17-3 loss to the New York Jets that could be the final game of Bill Belichick's legendary career in Foxboro, results from the late afternoon games on Sunday officially secured them the third pick behind the Chicago Bears and Washington Commanders. 

The Commanders' loss to the Dallas Cowboys (their eighth in a row to close the season) "earned" them the second choice while the Bears get the top pick from the 2-15 Panthers due to last year's trade that netted Carolina quarterback Bryce Young.

This will be the Patriots' highest draft pick 1993, when they used the No. 1 overall selection on franchise quarterback Drew Bledsoe.
