Surprise! Something uplifting and positive to watch for New England Patriots fans during the Bye week of this forgettable season. The story of the Patriots' two-decade long run of success will soon come to the screen in the form of a new Apple TV documentary.

The 10-part series, aptly titled The Dynasty: New England Patriots, is set to release on Apple TV+ on Feb. 16 with the first trailer out Friday morning. The trailer doesn't show much, as it is just a teaser after all, but does highlight the Patriots celebrating their sixth championship in Super Bowl 53.

A key focal point of the documentary will be the relationship between Patriots coach Bill Belichick and former quarterback Tom Brady, and what ultimately led to the legendary signal-caller leaving New England in 2020.

“These are the two titanic figures of the franchise, but they are two alphas," a voiceover said in the trailer. “A collision was inevitable."

In addition to Belichick and Brady, viewers will also get to hear from Patriots owner Robert Kraft throughout the series. Unlike the other two, though, Kraft did have a speaking role in the trailer.

“We were coming near the end, and I was just trying to hold it together the best I could,” Kraft said.

The series, directed by Emmy-winner Matthew Hamachek, is based on Jeff Benedict's 2020 book of the same name. Apple TV says the show will draw from "thousands of hours of never-before-seen video footage and audio files from the Patriots organization’s archive." It will also feature interviews from current and former Patriots players, league officials and some of New England's rivals, with the focus primarily being on the "Big 3" of Belichick, Brady and Kraft.
