WATCH: Jones, Stevenson Spark First Patriots' TD vs. Packers

The New England Patriots and Green Bay Packers are currently locked in a preseason battle at Lambeau Field.

The New England Patriots apparently carried their aggressiveness from their joint practices into their preseason game 2 matchup against the Green Bay Packers.

New England struck first against the Packers, talking an early 7-0 lead at Lambeau field on Saturday night.

Following a fumble by Packers quarterback Jordan Love. Pats linebacker Josh Uche out hustled his Green Bay counterparts to recover the ball at the Packers 21-yard line. From that point, Pats starter Mac Jones led New England 18 yards on five plays to the end zone, highlighted by a pair of completions to receiver Kendrick Bourne for four and 13 yards respectively. Jones would hand the ball to running back Rhamondre Stevenson for the Pats first touchdown of the night.

Despite getting mixed reviews on their first day of joint sessions, the Pats showcased both their aptitude and attitude on against the Packers. With both teams deciding to play their starters, and tensions slightly teetering on the brink, the Pats and Packers seem poised for a surprisingly competitive game heading into their final preseason tilts at the end of the week.

The Patriots and the Packers shared the field for joint practices for the first time since the Pats paid a visit to Green Bay in 1991. The teams last met at Lambeau Field for a regular season game in October 2022, and lost 27-24 in overtime.
