The NFL will release its official schedule for the 2023 regular season on May 11. The New England Patriots, however, are already making plans for training camp.

According to a new report from The Athletic, the Pats are finalizing a plan to hold joint practices with the Packers in Green Bay this Summer.

The news of joint practices between the Packers and Patriots would come in addition to previously reported practice plans between New England and the Tennessee Titans

These joint practices will be a good test for both sides, allowing them to scrimmage against another team without having the same familiarity on each side as with intra-squad scrimmages, getting the players and coaches closer to game-like situations.

And, who knows, maybe the Patriots will get some insight from Green Bay on how to prepare for Aaron Rodgers, now the quarterback for the AFC East's New York Jets.

Since their introduction, these scrimmages have been a mainstay in training camps for NFL teams. The Patriots held one last offseason with the Carolina Panthers, which quickly became marred by daily fights. Nevertheless, the occasional scrap and practice disturbance between players has not stopped teams from scheduling more in the future.
