'Trashy!': Patriots Ex Kyle Van Noy Unleashes on 'The Dynasty'
Over the past few weeks, The Dynasty has been the subject of much controversy among New England Patriots fans.
The 10-episode Apple TV+ documentary promised to take an in-depth look at the story of the team's two-decade run of dominance, but when it actually released, fan reactions were mixed to say the least. Many took issue with the series' overwhelming focus on the negative and controversial parts of the dynasty rather than the team's success, and many were not pleased with the portrayal of coach Bill Belichick as the "villain."
Even former Patriots players have publicly criticized the show, and linebacker Kyle Van Noy just became the latest to do so.
Van Noy, who spent five seasons in New England across two separate stints and won a pair of Super Bowls, said he was not asked to interview for the documentary, but after seeing it for himself, he doesn't feel bad about missing out.
"No I wasn’t, I [was] mad annoyed at first but glad they didn’t cuz it looks trashy now!" Van Noy wrote on X.
In another social media post, Van Noy said he only watched two episodes of the show, but described those episodes as "chalked."
As previously mentioned, Van Noy joins a growing list of ex-Patriots to criticize The Dynasty. Devin McCourty claimed he was "duped" by the show, while Rodney Harrison claimed the showrunners only used interview clips where he spoke negatively about the team.
Now over a week removed from the finale on March 15, it seems like more and more players are voicing their opinions on the controversial documentary.
