Super Sunday: Ranking Patriots' 11 Super Bowls
It's impossible to choose your favorite child. But you can single out "the best" New England Patriots' Super Bowl win?
Fortunately, CBS has did the heavy lifting for us.
As the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers prepare for Sunday's LVIII in Las Vegas, the network recently put together its ranking of all the Super Bowls - from No. 57 to No. 1.
The Patriots, of course, have a record 11 appearances and six championships to choose from. Turns out all of them ranked in the top 35. Most impressive, they have played in the best four Super Bowls.
How do they stack up?
35. XX Bears 46, Patriots 10 - The Pats took a 3-0 lead and then ... were smothered by the greatest defense in NFL history.
32. LIII Patriots 13, Rams 3 - Bill Belichick totally out-schemed Sean McVay, holding the NFL's highest-scoring team without a touchdown.
23. XXXI Packers 35, Patriots 21 - Drew Bledsoe had New England within six points before Desmond Howard turned the game with a 99-yard kickoff return.
22. XXXIX Patriots 24, Eagles 21 - New England survived Terrell Owens playing possessed on a broken leg and Donovan McNabb vomiting in the huddle.
