New England Patriots vs. New York Giants Week 12: How to Watch, Betting Odds, Win By Losing?

The New England Patriots head to the Meadowlands to play the New York Giants in a Week 12 matchup between struggling teams.

The New England Patriots travel to the Meadowlands on Sunday to take on the New York Giants in a Week 12 matchup between two teams struggling to find wins.

New England has lost three in a row including a 10-6 defeat against the Colts in Germany two weeks ago, and six of its last seven. New York has fared only slightly better after a 31-19 win over the Washington Commanders last week, but has still lost six of its last nine.

Undrafted free agent quarterback Tommy DeVito will be under center again for the Giants with starter Daniel Jones out for the year with a knee injury. Last week in Washington, DeVito completed 18 of 26 passes for 246 yards and three touchdowns.

DeVito will be facing the Patriots' No. 18-ranked passing defense, which seems like a tall task for a Giants offense that's ranked last in most categories except for rushing, where it's 13th.

The quarterback position has been a merry-go-round in New England this season. Mac Jones has started every game but has been relieved by Bailey Zappe three times. Two of those relief appearances were in blowouts, and one was at the end of the game in a 10-6 loss to the Colts on Nov. 12. Other options under center for coach Bill Belichick are Will Grier and Malik Cunningham, who's on the practice squad.

The Patriots have won their last two matchups against the Giants and are 7-2 all-time in regular season games, but the playoffs are a different story. New York topped New England in two Super Bowl matchups in 2008 and 2012.

Coming off their bye week, the Patriots are relatively healthy. Offensive lineman Trent Brown is nursing an ankle and a knee but could be available for Sunday. Wideout DeVante Parker has missed the previous two games with a concussion.

The loser of this game will actually benefit from the outcome, as both teams are in the hunt for the No. 1 overall pick in next April's NFL Draft.
