Patriots fans are gushing over 90s royal blue jerseys for sale in team's pro shop

They were for sale...and sold out the same day.

A hot commodity in the New England Patriots ProShop this past Friday were the 1990s royal blue Patriots jerseys. The available name-plated jerseys were Willie McGinest (55), Drew Bledsoe (11), Troy Brown (80), Ty Law (24), and Tedy Bruschi (54).

Unfortunately for most fans, the jerseys didn't stay on the shelves very long.

According to Alex Barth of CLNS Media, there was a line out the door of the pro shop when they opened Friday morning and one employee said they had lost track of how many of the royal blue jerseys they had already sold (Alex talked to the employee about an hour after the store had opened).

Alex also said he saw people buying the jerseys in bunches. Wow.

According to the Patriots ProShop Twitter page, they quickly ran out of the Ty Law royal blue jerseys on Friday and will have some more inventory in a few weeks.

Not too long after, they announced that they had nearly sold out of all of them.

Their online store only shows the Bruschi royal blue jersey, however, it states the the jersey is on back order at the moment.

If you were hoping to go to Patriots Place this weekend and grab yourself one of the iconic jerseys, you're out of luck. Keep an eye on the pro shop's social media pages to find out when they have the jerseys back in stock.
