Patriots announce preseason jersey numbers for rookies

Take a look and memorize the numbers.

The New England Patriots are facing the Detroit Lions in their preseason opener tonight. In order for the rookies to play in the game, they will need eligible jersey numbers depending on their position. The Patriots have announced their numbers, which gives us a chance to see which digits to look for when the game begins tonight. 

Here are the jersey numbers for each rookie, per the Pats Pulpit:

#9: WR Gunner Olszewski

#8: WR N’Keal Harry

#16: WR Jakobi Meyers

#19: WR Ryan Davis

#33: CB Joejuan Williams

Third round pick Chase Winovich will wear No. 50, which was worn by Rob Ninkovich, a former Patriot who was very well respected in New England for his great attitude and hard work ethic. 

The jersey numbers are not permanent, but they could foreshadow some changes taking place in New England.
