Report: Former Patriots LB Tedy Bruschi suffers second stroke
The former Patriot great was hospitalized Thursday afternoon after suffering a stroke.
Former New England Patriots linebacker and current ESPN analyst Tedy Bruschi was hospitalized Thursday afternoon after suffering a stroke, known as TIA, according to the Tedy's Team Foundation.
TIA, a Transient Ischemic Attack, is, according to the American Stroke Association, "often called a mini-stroke, but it's really a major warning. ... TIAs may signal a full-blown stroke ahead."
Bruschi suffered his first stroke in 2005 when he was still a member of the Patriots organization.
Joe Kayata of NBC-10 Boston reported later on Friday that Bruschi was released from the hospital and is resting at home with his family.
