The Las Vegas Raiders are barrelling toward the NFL Draft and are operating with frugality but not being cheap while the National Football League's Free Agency proceeds.

Last week in Orlando was the NFL Owners Meetings.

General Manager Tom Telesco, Coach Antonio Pierce, Defensive Coordinator Patrick Graham, and Offensive Coordinator Luke Getsy are all actively evaluating talent that could reshape the Silver and Black for the next decade.

At the NFL Owners' Meetings in Orlando last week, Antonio Pierce spoke about cornerbacks Jack Jones and Nate Hobbs and the ceilings he has for their potential.

"High. Again, I've known Jack [Jones] since he was 13 man and he just keeps rising and there's still more there. Gaining some more weight, getting the little sucker in the weight room, get him bigger, but what he brought to this team when he got here was a swag, the confidence, that go-getter mentality to go make plays, anticipating, film study. You mix that with Nate Hobbs who is a physical freak, man you've got a pretty good duo there, and all they do is battle. Just the competition, again I talked about it with the quarterback position, if it can start there and now filters through every room in our building, especially our DB room, you've got to love it. Those guys have got to have thick skin. He's going to get beat, he's going to miss a tackle, it's okay next play. And they both have that mental toughness to play the position." 

The NFL Draft will be held in Detroit, Mich., on April 25-27, 2024. The Las Vegas Raiders currently have the No. 13 overall pick.
