Las Vegas Raiders vs. Houston Texans Live Game Updates
LAS VEGAS, Nev.--Today's game here at Allegiant Stadium is not about the visiting Houston Texans (1-3), but about the Las Vegas Raiders (1-4)
The Las Vegas Raiders are coming off of the bye week and ready to get back in the winning column and get their season back on track.
Remember the rule of five. If the Las Vegas Raiders win that key statistical battle, the game is over. For those who don't remember it, it has to do with sacks and turnovers. If the Raiders have three sacks and give up two, that means they are plus one. If they then get four turnovers and give up only one, that means they are plus three. That would give them a plus-four for the day. They want to get to a plus-five ratio every game. Teams that reach the rule of five scenarios win 91 percent of their NFL games on average.

HALFTIME:
The Las Vegas Raiders may be a little lucky that the game against the Houston Texans is tied at halftime.
After a first drive that resulted in a field goal, the Raiders offense couldn't sustain any drives up until the end of the first half.
Raiders quarterback Derek Carr has been very efficient in completing nearly 79 percent of his passes, but they haven't been able to make key conversions, being only 2/6 on 3rd down.
The absence of Darren Waller surely hasn't helped, but the Raiders were able to come alive at the end of the first half to tie the game off a 26-yard touchdown from Carr to Mack Hollins.
Defensively, the Raiders got a break when Texans placekicker Ka'imi Fairbairn missed a 39-yard field goal in the first quarter.
Otherwise, Texans running back Dameon Pierce has averaged 5.3 yards per carry and quarterback Davis Mills has had the time to convert 3rd down after 3rd down.
They need to get Mills uncomfortable and make him beat them in obvious passing situations.
For the Raiders offense, continuing to feed Josh Jacobs and exploiting the middle of the field could lead to more consistent results.
