Raiders vs. Dolphins Live Game Updates, Analysis
MIAMI, Fla.--The Las Vegas Raiders (5-5) are riding a two-game winning streak under Coach Antonio Pierce as they invade South Beach today to take on the high-flying Miami Dolphins (6-3).
If the Raiders can sneak into the NFL Playoffs, today's game is a must-win, and with the offensive creativity of the Fish's Mike McDaniel, that is a tall task.
Remember the rule of five. The game is over if the Raiders win that key statistical battle. It concerns sacks and turnovers for those who don't remember it. If the Raiders have three sacks and give up two, they are plus one. They are plus three if they get four turnovers and give up only one. That would give them a plus-four for the day. They want to get to a plus-five ratio every game. On average, teams that reach the rule of five scenarios win 91 percent of their NFL games.

Yet again, it's been the Las Vegas Raiders' defense that has been creating the majority of the team's success in this road battle with the Miami Dolphins.
Aside from a huge 46-yard touchdown reception by All-Pro receiver Davante Adams, the defense has been carrying the weight.
Las Vegas' defense has forced two turnovers (both fumbles) -- one prevented the Dolphins from advancing in scoring position while the other resulted in a field goal just before halftime that would bring the Raiders to withinย single point.
Raiders rookie quarterback Aidan O'Connell has passed for 108 yards and a touchdown, while his No. 1 target, Adams, finished the half with 56 yards and a touchdown on five receptions.
Once again, the running game has had little success so far for Las Vegas with only 30 yards, but as we've seen before, you can count on Raiders Interim Coach Antonio Pierce to keep putting the ball in All-Pro running back Josh Jacobs' hands.
Should that be effective, Las Vegas has a great chance in this game.

SCORING UPDATE NO. 5: Sanders is good from 41 yards. Miami leads, 17-13.
SCORING UPDATE NO. 6: Sanders' 51-yard field goal is good. Miami extends its lead to 20-13.
END OF THE THIRD QUARTER: Dolphins lead, 20-13.
START OF THE FOURTH QUARTER:

CHALLENGE: Miami is challenging Raiders rookie wide receiver Tre Tucker's catch.
RULING OVERTURNED: Officials overturn the call.
