The 2024 NFL Draft is now less than a month away for the Las Vegas Raiders and the rest of the NFL. As exciting as it is to look ahead at what could be, it is also interesting to look back at what a difference a year makes when examining the previous draft class.

In a recent article from Pro Football Focus' Timo Riske, Riske ranked the most productive 2023 NFL rookie draft class for all 32 NFL teams. The Raiders are ranked the 28th.

The Raiders' rookie draft class played a combination of 2,664 snaps last season, the most in all of the AFC West.

Riske highlighted four 2023 rookies, starting with tight end Michael Mayer. Mayer ended his rookie season playing 14 games, finishing with 27 receptions for 304 yards and two receiving touchdowns. Riske mentioned Mayer's 66.1 receiving grade for his rookie season, as well as his 1.08 yards per route run.

Riske also highlighted quarterback Aidan O'Connell. O'Connell ended his rookie season playing in 11 games, throwing 213 completions on 343 attempts for 2,218 yards and 12 touchdowns. Riske acknowledged O'Connell's 64.6 passing grade last season.

The next rookie Riske highlighted is first-round draft pick Tyree Wilson. Wilson played in all 17 games last season, finishing with 16 solo tackles and 3.5 sacks. Riske noted Wilson's 50.4 pass-rush grade and his 7.8% pressure rate last season.

Lastly, Riske highlighted wide receiver Tre Tucker. Tucker played 16 games during his rookie season and finished with 19 receptions for 331 yards, scoring two receiving touchdowns. Riske mentioned Tucker's 64.3 receiving grade and 1.40 yards per route last season.

At the top of Riske's list were the Houston Texans at No. 1, the Green Bay Packers at No. 2, the Los Angeles Rams at No. 3, the Detroit Lions at No. 4, and the Seattle Seahawks at No. 5. The only teams ranked worse than Las Vegas were the San Francisco 49ers at 29, the New York Jets at 30, the Jacksonville Jaguars at 31, and the Washington Commanders at 32.
