So far, in this 2024 NFL free agency, the Las Vegas Raiders have re-signed five players -- three defensive and two offensive.

One of the offensive players was center Andre James, whom Las Vegas signed to a three-year $24-million contract, which includes $16-million guaranteed.

James finished the 2023 season with a Pro Football Focus overall grade of 74.6, a pass-blocking grade of 71.2, and a run-blocking grade of 75.0. He played 963 snaps, which ranked him 20th at his position. He also had three penalties, which tied him 27th overall at his position, and allowed just four sacks, which tied him eighth overall.

Raiders Coach Antonio Pierce had the opportunity to talk about James at this year's 2024 NFL Owners' Meetings.

"He's a Hard worker," Pierce said. "He's a warrior. He has that grit and mentality that you want in the O-line room. He was kind of the glue to us up front. Kolton Miller was there as well, but you remember he missed time. Andre missed time. Both of those guys, Miller and Andre, did a hell of a job in the meeting rooms, on the practice field, keeping us kind of down and focused on what we want to do and really setting the tone.

"In our offense, the center is very important as far as communication. [Tom] Telesco said it; I've said it: You want to keep all your guys as possible and re-sign those guys, like Josh Jacobs or Andre James. We lost one, but we gained a really good player who, you know, will be a Raider for a long time."

This upcoming season will be James' sixth as the Raiders' starting center. He will look to be one of the key parts of the Silver and Black's offensive line.

The NFL Draft will be held in Detroit, Mich., on April 25-27, 2024. The Las Vegas Raiders currently have the No. 13 overall pick.
