Janarius Robinson Could be a Factor on Raiders' D-Line

Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Janarious Robinson could be a factor on the Silver and Black's defensive line in the 2024 NFL season.

The Las Vegas Raiders may have one of the best defensive lines in the NFL following their signings in this year's free agency.

In the Monday's episode of the Las Vegas Raiders Insider Podcast, our Hondo Carpenter Sr. broke down the Silver and Black defensive line.

One of the players he talked about was Raiders defensive end Janarius Robinson. Robinson was signed midseason last year, posting eight total tackles (five solo), one tackle for loss, and one sack in six games with the Silver and Black.

Robinson ended the 2023-24 season with an overall grade of 56.3 from Pro Football Focus, a 71.3 run-defense grade, a 56.6 pass-rush grade, and a 77.8 coverage grade.

Carpenter expressed his thoughts on Robinson and why he thinks he has a chance at making this year's 53-man roster.

"He's a guy who showed some flashes, and I think he has a shot to make this roster," he said. "He's a young player; he's been around a bit but hasn't really had a shot. He's got a shot because he's shown some flashes. I like the kid. I like some of his hips and dips and how he maneuvers a little. He needs some technique help but got better with Rob Leonard last year.

"A couple of things that really stood out when I watched him last year are that he's a terrific listener. He listens to Rob and the older players, and that's going to get him somewhere. It's going to help him; it's going to behoove him.

"He's got to come into those OTAs and mini camps in excellent shape and show a ton of hustle because he's going to have Maxx [Crosby], Christian [Wilkins], and [Malcolm] Koonce."
