Raiders NFL Draft Prospect: TE Tucker Kraft, South Dakota State

The Las Vegas Raiders can find their tight end of the future in South Dakota State Tucker Kraft via the 2023 NFL Draft.

The Las Vegas Raiders are officially one week away from selecting the future prospects of the franchise.

The Silver and Black have a total of 12 selections in the 2023 NFL Draft, while entering the final stages of the pre-draft process, they find themselves in a position of rebuilding and reinforcing some of the positions in order to compete in the division.

Tight End Tucker Kraft, South Dakota State Jackrabbits

“Kraft has experience lining up in-line, the slot, and out wide. The South Dakota native carries his weight with ease and possesses excellent size and density. Kraft still has room to add mass to his lower body, but he’s already strong enough to break arm tackles and shrug off shoulder tackles,” NFL Draft Bible said of Kraft.

Considered a top-five tight-end prospect in this year’s loaded draft class, Kraft checks in at 6-5 and 254 pounds.

Kraft is not the fastest tight end in the class, but he is explosive and shows it on film. He checks in with all the physical traits teams seek in a tight end, running a 4.69 on the 40-yard dash at the 2023 NFL Scouting Combine and improved his time during his Pro Day to 4.62.

That speed is good enough to create separation from defenders and allow his body to contest for big-time catches.

This past season, Kraft totaled 27 receptions for 348 yards and three touchdowns.

Kraft also has plenty of upside as a blocker. He might have been lined up as a pass-catcher for most of last year, but he can absolutely block.

He is a solid, all-around tight end who needs to clean up a few things and stay healthy.

Projected as a Day-Two selection, Kraft can go as early as the second round, but we have him projected as going to the Raiders in the third round of the draft.
