Missouri DB Ennis Rakestraw Jr. Talks Raiders
The 2024 NFL Combine week continues as draft prospects are one step closer to their NFL dreams.
On Thursday, the media had the opportunity to interview all of the defensive backs and tight ends invited to the 2024 NFL Combine in Indianapolis.
Defensive back Ennis Rakestraw Jr of Missouri was one of the many defensive backs who had the chance to talk to the media Thursday morning.
Rakestraw spent four seasons with the Missouri Tigers. He played 73 total games, finishing with 73 tackles, 53 solos with one sack, and 11 passes defended. Last season in his junior season with the Tigers, Rakestraw played in nine games, ending with 35 total tackles, 24 solos, with three passes defended , and one forced fumble.
According to Pro Football Focus, Rakestraw Jr. finished his junior season with a PFF defensive grade of 80.7, a run defense grade of 89.0, a tackling grade of 79.7, and a coverage grade of 78.7.
As a defensive back, Rakestraw Jr. is listed as 6-feet tall and weighs 188 pounds.
Rakestraw Jr. had the chance to talk briefly about how he has met with the Silver and Black and his thoughts on the Raiders' organization. He also shared his thoughts on Coach Antonio Pierce.
"I met with the Raiders, and we talked a little about the scheme and how they run things," Rakestraw Jr. said. "He's a great coach and a great dude. All of my meetings have been great, and they have been teaching me things as a player."
The shifty and quick defensive back from Missouri could be a second-round selection for the Silver and Black in this year's 2024 NFL Draft.

The NFL Draft will be held in Detroit, Mich., on April 25-27, 2024. The Las Vegas Raiders currently hold the No. 13 overall pick.
