Raiders NFL Draft Prospect: Guard Brandon Coleman of TCU
The Las Vegas Raiders are in desperate need of securing some long-term assets on their offensive line.
Of course, the easiest way to do that would be through the draft. Guard Brandon Coleman of TCU is a prospect the Raiders should strongly consider later in next month's NFL Draft.
Coleman had an impressive 2024 Combine, receiving an athletic score of 88 from NFL Next Gen Stats, the third-best among all guards. He also received a production score of 64, seventh among guards, and a total score of 56, fifth among guards.
The 6-foot-4, 313-pound Coleman recorded a 40-yard dash time of 4.99 seconds, a 10-yard split time of 1.73 seconds, a vertical jump of 34 inches and a broad jump of 9 feet, 6 inches.
Coleman played four seasons at TCU and was a team captain in his final season, when he made seven starts at left tackle and four at left guard. Coleman was a second-team All-Big-12 honoree.
Pro Football Focus gave Coleman an overall grade 57.7 for his 2023 campaign.
Coleman helped lead the Horned Frogs to a national title appearance the year before. TCU's offense finished 10th in the nation, scoring 38.8 points per game and 27th in overall offense at 455.0 yards per game. Coleman started all 15 games at left tackle and received All-Big 12 Conference honorable mention.
Coleman made eight starts in nine games in his sophomore season, seven of which were at left guard and one at right guard.
In 2020, his first year with the program, Coleman played in the team's first four games before sustaining a season-ending injury.
The NFL Draft will be held in Detroit, Mich., on April 25-27, 2024. The Las Vegas Raiders currently have the No. 13 overall pick.
