The Las Vegas Raiders need to add depth to their guard positions, and Christian Haynes' four years of starting experience at Conneticut should be quite intriguing as the draft nears.

It will be crucial for the Las Vegas Raiders to add depth to their interior offensive line this offseason, especially with free agency looming for center Andre James and guards Greg Van Roten and Jordan Meredith.

The Raiders have an excellent opportunity to do so in this year's NFL Draft, as talent is abundant at the guard position.

Guard Christian Haynes of UConn is one of the best guards in the 2024 NFL Draft class and would be an excellent fit for the Raiders.

Haynes started all 12 games at guard for the Huskies in his final college season. He and UConn's offensive line finished ninth in the country in sacks allowed with only 12 all season. Haynes was selected to the Associated Press and College Football Network All-American Third Teams.

He received second-team All-American honors from Sporting News and third-team All-American honors from the Associated Press. PFF gave Haynes an overall grade of 83.9 for his 2022 season.

Haynes started in all 12 of UConn's games in the 2021 and 2019 seasons. The Huskies' 2020 season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Haynes played two games in his redshirt season in 2018-19.

The NFL Draft will be held in Detroit, Mich., on April 25-27, 2024. The Las Vegas Raiders currently hold the No. 13 overall pick.
