The wide receiver position might not be the highest priority on the Las Vegas Raiders' radar going into the 2024 NFL Draft, but should they choose to go that route in an early round, they have several options.

One of them is wide receiver Xavier Worthy from the University of Texas.

Worthy posted 1,014 receiving yards, 75 receptions, five receiving touchdowns and 371 punt return yards in the 2023 season and helped lead the Longhorns to a Big 12 title and the College Football Playoff. He would be named to the All-Big 12 First Team as a wide receiver and as a punt returner.

The three-year Longhorn proved to be one of the best college punt returners, as he led the nation in yards returned on punts. Worthy did so on only 22 returns, averaging 16.9 punt return yards per game.

Worthy took one of his returns to the house against BYU when he scored a 74-yard touchdown. The prospect would be named to the Football Writers Association of America, Sporting News, and Phil Steele All-America Second Team as a punt returner.

As a freshman, Worthy totaled 981 receiving yards and 12 receiving touchdowns in only 12 games for Texas and was named the Big 12 Freshman of the Year. He would follow that campaign with a 760 receiving-yard sophomore season.

In total, Worthy tallied 2,755 receiving yards and 26 receiving touchdowns in his three years with the Longhorns. His career touchdown total ranks third in program history. He also finished second in team history in career punt return average at 14.5 yards.

Worthy might not qualify as a mid first-round pick, but he would be a great selection if the Raiders end up with an early to mid second-round pick.

From February 27 to March 4, 2024, the NFL Scouting Combine will be held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind.

The NFL Draft will be held in Detroit, Mich., on April 25-27, 2024. The Las Vegas Raiders currently hold the No. 13 overall pick.
