The Las Vegas Raiders made a couple roster moves in this final week of the preseason.

The Raiders announced Wednesday that they have has signed free-agent defensive tackle Doug Costin and free-agent linebacker Isaac Darkangelo.

Costin, a 6-foot-2, 295-pound defensive tackle from West Chester, Pa., has not played an NFL regular-season down since the 2021 season, when he competed in only one game for the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The season before, however, his rookie campaign, Costin started in nine of his 12 game appearances. He totaled 32 combined tackles, three for losses, a quarterback hit, a fumble recovery and two passes defensed.

The Jaguars signed Costin as an undrafted free agent out of Miami (Ohio). He spent nearly two seasons in Jacksonville before he was signed to the Cincinnati Bengals' practice squad in January of 2022, but he was released only a week later.

Costin then spent a very short stint in the USFL as a member of the Birmingham Stallions that year. He would return to the NFL that July when he signed a one-year contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The defensive tackle was then released during last year's training camp. Costin was then selected in the 2023 XFL Draft by the Arlington Renegades in November.

Darkangelo, meanwhile, has yet to see NFL regular-season action.

The 6-foot-1, 230-pound linebacker out of Brighton, Mich., comes to Las Vegas after being waived by the Detroit Lions in May.

Darkangelo was signed by Detroit less than a month earlier as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Illinois.

As a member of the Fighting Illini, Darkangelo recorded 78 combined tackles, 7.5 for losses, a sack and a fumble recovery in 26 games.

Darkangelo wass named an All-Big Ten honorable mention by league coaches and the media last season.

The Darkangelo signing comes just a day after the Raiders placed linebacker Darien Butler on the reserve/injured list.

The Silver and Black return to preseason action when they play the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on Saturday, Aug. 26, at 8 p.m. EDT/5 p.m. PDT.
