Raiders Hosted QB Aidan O'Connell For Top-30 Visit
It's no secret that a backup quarterback is on the Las Vegas Raiders' mind as this month's NFL Draft approaches.
The Raiders have made it clear they is considering all options, as they have hosted the best quarterbacks this draft class has to offer as part of their Top-30 visits.
According to Tristen Kuhn, the Raiders recently met with a dark-horse quarterback prospect in Purdue's Aidan O'Connell.
O'Connell played four seasons for the Boilermakers, earning back-to-back second-team All-Big Ten honors (2021, 2022).
He threw for at least 3,000 yards in those two seasons and led Purdue to consecutive winning seasons, including a trip to the Big Ten championship game last season.
O'Connell also threw 22 touchdowns in 2022 and 28 the season before. In that 2021 season, he joined the great Drew Brees as the only two program members to record multiple 500-yard passing performances in one season.
O'Connell posted 9,219 passing yards and 65 touchdowns in 33 games with Purdue, finishing his college career as one of the program's best to ever play under center, despite originally joining the team as a walk-on.
