Alabama CB Arnold on Raiders Coach Pierce
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- The Las Vegas Raiders could have an excellent opportunity to select one of the top cornerbacks in this year's NFL Draft.
Terrion Arnold of Alabama, arguably the best cornerback in the 2024 draft class, could be one of those on the board when the Raiders pick at No. 13 overall.
It could be a match made in heaven for Raiders Coach Antonio Pierce.
"He's a guy full of energy," Arnold said of Pierce when he addressed the media at the NFL Combine on Wednesday. "When I walked in the room, he was like: 'Are you an energetic person?' I was like: 'You know I am, man, put on the tape.' He was like: 'Man, I like you already.'"
Arnold not only carries positive energy, but is also very confident in his abilities.
"When I'm on the field, honestly on defense, I feel like I could play any position, especially any position in the secondary," Arnold said. "So, with that being said, when I line up in the slot, I know I'm kind of like an outside linebacker. I have to feel the run, I have to set edges, take on blocks, and I have to cover.
Las Vegas Raiders Coach Antonio Pierce wants energy on his team, and former Alabama Crimson Tide cornerback Terrion Arnold certainly has it.

Arnold lined up all over the field in last two seasons -- at cornerback, in the slot, in the box and even played some snaps deep and on the defensive line. He was named to the 2023 All-SEC First Team and the Associated Press 2023 All-American First Team, ultimately help leading Alabama back to an SEC title in the College Football Playoff.
The NFL Draft will be held in Detroit, Mich., on April 25-27, 2024. The Las Vegas Raiders currently hold the No. 13 overall pick.
