Raiders Re-Sign Brandon Parker, Jesper Horsted
The Las Vegas Raiders continue to bring back assets for next season, particularly on offense.
The team has re-signed offensive tackle Brandon Parker and tight end Jesper Horsted, the club announced on Friday.
Parker has spent all four seasons of his NFL career with the Raiders, having been drafted by the club in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
The 27-year-old tackle has made 32 starts in 54 games played. He played in all 17 games this past season, having made 13 starts.
Horsted, meanwhile, has only been with the Raiders for one season after spending his first three years in the NFL as a member of the Chicago Bears. He was signed by Chicago as an undrafted free agent in May of 2019.
Horsted played in 15 games for the Silver and Black last season, having only registered 19 yards on three receptions. He was primarily used as a special teams player. He ended up taking the field for 190 special teams snaps.
With Chicago, Horsted played in six games as a rookie but would spend the entire 2020 season on the practice squad. He made the 53-man roster the following season, only to record 21 yards on two receptions in seven games.
The 26-year-old tight end has made only one start in his young NFL career.
The 2023 NFL Draft will go from April 27-29 and be held at Union Station in Kansas City, Mo.
March 13-15 is the free agent negotiation period. Starting at 12 p.m. EDT on March 13 and ending at 3:59:59 p.m. EDT on March 15, clubs are permitted to contact and enter into contract negotiations with the certified agents of players who will become Unrestricted Free Agents upon the expiration of their 2022 Player Contracts at 4 p.m. EDT on March 15.
The 2023 NFL Year and Free Agency period begins at 4 p.m. EDT on March 15. The Raiders are expected to be significant players in the free-agent market this season.
