Raiders Josh McDaniels on Buffalo Bills Defense

Las Vegas Raiders Coach Josh McDaniels discussed the very talented Buffalo Bills defense.

The Las Vegas Raiders look to extend their all-time series lead with a victory over against the Buffalo Bills this Sunday. However, the Raiders will have to face a very talented defense.

Over the past couple of seasons, the Bills have been known to have a very talented defense. 

Former Super Bowl MVP Von Miller and linebacker lead the way on the Bills defense. However, Miller is not projected to play this Sunday because of an injury. 

Even without Von Miller, linebacker Matt Milano had a solid Week 1 performance against the New York Jets.

Against the Jets, Milano finished the game with eight combined tackles and one interception.

Coach Josh McDaniels had the chance to speak to the media one last time before the Raiders take on this Sunday. He talked about Bill's talented defense, even without a guy like Von Miller, who won't see any action.

 "Yeah, significant," McDaniels said. "They've invested a lot of draft picks and or resources into the defensive line. They got a really good front. They're really well coached. This is one of the finest coaching staffs in the entire National Football League. They use their personnel very wisely. They rotate a lot of players in there, so you're rarely going to see them where they're gassed because they've got enough guys, enough depth in there and they're all productive. They have pass rushers inside, pass rushers on the edge. 

"They do a lot of good things in a running game too. So, their defensive front is formidable. Their linebacker corps has always been very good. Matt Milano is one of the best players in the National Football League in my opinion, at any position. So, blocking him, handling him in the running game, dealing with him in the pass game is key. He’s such a great cover player, has great instincts. You couple that with their safeties and corners; Taron Johnson is one of the best nickel backs in the game for sure. It's a big challenge.”

The Silver and Black remain on the road this week as they travel to play the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, Sept. 17, at 1:05 p.m. EDT/10:05 a.m. PDT.
