Raiders Met Virtually With CB Carrington Valentine
Another cornerback has recently met with the Las Vegas Raiders for a Top-30 visit.
According to Justin Melo of The Draft Network, the Raiders met virtually with Kentucky cornerback Carrington Valentine.
Valentine played three seasons with the Wildcats, the last two as a frequent starter.
The young defensive back was stellar in coverage last season, having led Kentucky in passes defensed with 11, to go along with 48 tackles, 1.5 for losses, an interception and a sack in 12 games.
The season before, Valentine came into the season as a prominent member of the Wildcats' defense, as he started in 12 out of 13 games.
Valentine totaled 61 tackles, 1.5 for losses, five passes defensed and a sack, after his freshman year, in which he appeared in 10 games with one start.
Overall, the prospect registered 119 tackles, three for losses, two sacks, 16 passes defensed, a sack, an interception, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in his collegiate career.
Melo also reported Valentine had virtual visits with the Green Bay Packers, Washington Commanders, New York Jets and Arizona Cardinals.
The Raiders have the seventh overall pick in this month's NFL Draft and 12 picks in total.

The 2023 NFL Draft will go from April 27-29 and be held at Union Station in Kansas City, Mo. The 2023 NFL Year and Free Agency period began at 4 p.m. EDT on March 15.
The Raiders are expected to be significant players in the free-agent market this offseason.
