Raiders Waive Two, Re-Sign One on First Day of Camp

In this story:
The Las Vegas Raiders made three significant moves on Tuesday's first day of training camp.
The Raiders announced that defensive tackle Kyle Peko has been signed, while quarterback Chase Garbers and cornerback Isiah "Ike" Brown have each been waived.
The re-signing of Peko comes only days after the announcement that rookie defensive tackle Byron Young would be placed on the physically unable to perform list.
Peko enters his second season with the Silver and Black, having played only eight games for the team last season. He recorded 11 combined tackles and a pass defensed.
Peko has played with four teams over the last five seasons, beginning with the Denver Broncos, who signed him as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon State in 2016.
Since then, he's bounced back and forth from practice squad to active roster on a number of teams, including Las Vegas.
The Raiders waived Peko as part of their final roster cuts last year, but assigned him to the practice squad. He was signed to the active roster last December.
Garbers was signed as a backup to former Raiders quarterback Jarrett Stidham when the latter stepped in as the team's starter for the final two games of the 2022 season. Garbers never saw a snap as a Raider.
Brown also never was able to take the field as a Raider. He was signed by the club just over a year ago before being released as part of roster cuts.
The young cornerback was signed to the practice squad the following day.
Brown was signed to a future/reserve contract back in January.
We have re-signed free agent DT Kyle Peko.
