Three Things to Watch for as Raiders Play the Bears
There are three things to watch for this Sunday as the Las Vegas Raiders take on the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field in Chicago.
Raiders kicker Daniel Carlson is the first player to watch for this Sunday as the Raiders play the Bears. He is coming off one of the best kicking games he has had this season.
If Carlson makes one or more field goals of 50 plus yards, he will have 25 career field goals of 50 yards or more. He would be one of two players in the NFL since 2000 to make 25 50-yarders or more within their first 85 NFL career games. Carlson would be joining All-Pro kicker Justin Tucker (28) of the Baltimore Ravens.
Wide receiver Davante Adams also is a player to watch for this Sunday against the Bears in Soldier Field.
With seven receptions on Sunday, Adams would pass Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce (814), for the 11th most receptions by a player in his first 10 seasons in the NFL. With eight receptions on Sunday, Adams would also pass Tim Brown (44) and Darren Waller (44) for the most receptions through their first seven games in a season in Raiders history.
If Adams also finishes the game Sunday with 129 receiving yards or more, he will reach 600 receiving yards this season. Adams would become one of only seven players in Raiders history since 2016 to record 600-plus receiving yards in the first seven games of a season.
Raiders rookie tight end Michael Mayer also is a player to watch for on Sunday against the Bears. With 88 receiving yards, Mayer would have 205 receiving yards in his rookie season. He would surpass Ricky Dudley (204) for the second most receiving yards by a tight end in Raiders history through seven career NFL games. This would also be the most since 1970, when Raymond Chester had 401 receiving yards.
These three Raiders are on record-breaking watch as the Silver and Black take on the Bears this Sunday.
The Silver and Black will head out on the road to take on the Chicago Bears on Sunday, Oct. 22, at 1:05 p.m. EDT/10:05 a.m. PDT.
