Raiders Under Contract: LS Jacob Bobenmoyer

Las Vegas Raiders long snapper Jacob Bobenmoyer has three years remaining on his four-year, $3.8-million contract.

Last March, the Las Vegas Raiders parted ways with their five-year long snapper Trent Sieg, who entered the league with Raiders kicker and former All-Pro Daniel Carlson.

The club released Sieg after signing his eventual replacement, Jacob Bobenmoyer, whom the Raiders inked to a four-year, $3.8-million contract.

Bobenmoyer was reunited with Raiders Special Teams Coordinator Tom McMahon, whom he played under during his first two seasons with the Denver Broncos.

In his rookie season, Bobenmoyer played in all 16 games for Denver, recording three combined tackles and a fumble recovery on special teams. The following year, he once again played every game, ultimately posting four combined tackles.

In his final season with the Broncos (2022-23), Bobenmoyer played in only 13 games due to a thumb injury that required surgery. He still matched his career-high four combined tackles.

This season, Bobenmoyer played in all 17 of the Raiders' games, making three tackles.

Bobenmoyer was a man of many talents when he entered the NFL in 2020. During his college days at Northern Colorado, he not only played long snapper but was an edge rusher as well.

Bobenmoyer would be selected to the Phil Steele Publications All-America Fourth Team as a long snapper in his final season and also played in the East-West Shrine Bowl.

As of now, Bobenmoyer's annual salary of $1,271,667 makes him the 18th highest-paid long snapper in the NFL. That is more than his predecessor Sieg was paid for the 2023 season ($1,080,000).

Sieg was signed by the Dallas Cowboys a few days after being released by Las Vegas. He was released at the end of 2023 training camp but signed again by Dallas two days later.

From February 27 to March 4, 2024, the NFL Scouting Combine will be held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind.

The NFL Draft will be held in Detroit, Mich., on April 25-27, 2024. The Las Vegas Raiders currently hold the No. 13 overall pick.
