Raiders' Nate Hobbs Garners National Respect
The Las Vegas Raiders have a cornerback listed as the 28th-best cornerback in the NFL. According to Pro Football Focus, Nate Hobbs is ranked the 28th-best cornerback in the National Football League.
Nate Hobbs is entering his third year as a Raider cornerback. He was selected at pick 167 in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft. Hobbs overall had a terrific rookie season as a fifth-rounder.
In his rookie season, Hobbs finished the 2021-22 NFL season playing in 16 games and started nine games as a cornerback. He had a total of 51 tackles, 23 assisted tackles, and a total of 74 combined tackles. As a cornerback in coverage, he had three passes defended, one interception, and 48 solo tackles. Hobbs recorded an 80.1 PFF grade in his rookie season and only allowed one touchdown in coverage.
Despite having an overall great rookie season, Pro Focus Football mentioned him having a downgraded 2022-23 NFL season. Hobbs only played a total of 11 games last season. He finished the season with a total of 57 tackles, 17 assisted tackles, and a total of 72 combined tackles. As a cornerback in coverage, he had four passes defended, one sack, and 52 solo tackles.
As a cornerback for the Raiders, Hobbs has appeared in 27 games, with a total of 20 starts. He has a total of 108 tackles, 38 assisted tackles, and a total of 72 combined tackles. He also has 100 solo tackles, with two sacks and seven passes defended. Hobbs also has one interception as a cornerback with the Raiders as well.
