For eight years with the Green Bay Packers, All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams had the luxury of catching passes from one of the greatest to ever play the quarterback position, Aaron Rodgers.

Aside from missing the majority of the 2017 season with a broken collarbone, Rodgers was always dependable for Adams, which made the game that much easier.

Today, however, through his first 20 games as a Raider, Adams has already played with three starting quarterbacks, a sequence of events he didn't exactly have on his radar when he first signed on to play with his college quarterback, Derek Carr, of Fresno State.

With Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo having been in concussion protocol this week, there's a chance Adams could be taking the field with yet another new starter at quarterback on Sunday.

But that doesn't have him discouraged.

"I mean, we've been all working together for so long now, so it's really not as big of a thing as what it might seem on the outside as far as the adjustment and getting used to going with somebody new," Adams told media members on Wednesday. "But even within training camp, Jimmy [Garoppolo] would take a couple of reps and then [Brian] Hoyer would come in and throw. I caught balls from Aidan [O'Connell] in training camp, as well. So, it's definitely less than what I've caught from 10, but we're making it up right now."

Adams noted the Raiders' two backup quarterbacks, Brian Hoyer and Aidan O'Connell.

The former is a veteran who is well-experienced in the NFL, and the latter is a rookie looking to make a name for himself, something he started to do in the preseason.

Regardless, they each have their benefits.

"[Hoyer] has a lot of a lot of obviously maturity and experience and a lot of different little tidbits he can kind of give the younger guys or even Jimmy [Garoppolo]," Adams said. "He's been doing it for a long time, but just having been in this system and all those different things like that, it kind of gives them a little bit of a coach's perspective a little bit mixed with a player's, which can be beneficial for whoever is in there."

While Hoyer might be in the twilight of his career, O'Connell is just getting started. Adams believes the future is bright for the 2023 fourth-round pick.

"I mean, Aidan [O'Connell], I think he's opened up a lot of eyes since he's been here. coming from Purdue and not being a super highly touted quarterback as far as to my knowledge," Adams said. "I don't really pay too much attention to college, but I think he's surprised a lot of people for what he's done and he's shown a lot of poise and some promise for sure. But he's got to just keep doing what he's doing and he'll be well on his way whenever his time comes."

The Silver and Black return to the road this week in Inglewood, Calif., to play the Los Angeles Chargers (1-2) on Sunday, Oct. 1, at 4:05 p.m. EDT/1:05 p.m. PDT.
