Davante Adams Has a Close Relationship With Luke Getsy
Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams is one of many Silver and Black players who is excited about what new offensive coordinator Luke Getsy can bring to the Raiders.
Adams and Getsy have a close relationship as they spent time together with the Green Bay Packers, as Adams was with them for eight seasons, while Getsy was there for seven of them.
Getsy was an offensive quality control coach, a quarterbacks coach, and a wide receivers coach, in his seven seasons with the Packers, building a close relationship with Adams.
While with Getsy in Green Bay, Adams made 554 catches receptions for 6,568 yards and 62 touchdowns.
Our Hono Carpenter Sr. had the opportunity to interview Adams at a local Make-a-Wish Foundation event.
Adams had the chance to speak about Getsy and expressed his excitement about the new offensive coordinator.

"I was really excited," Adams said abut when he heard the news of the hiring of Getsy. "That was a good feeling knowing that it was a guy who I have worked with. I know how he works, I know how his mind works, we have had success together, so it is definitely exciting."
Adams added what Getsy would bring: "Innovation, the type of coach who is open-minded, and going to be open to hearing things from the veteran players who know how this thing works, and the best way to do things. It's a lot of different things.
"The open-mindedness and innovation to the offense. A good run-pass balance, and that is what I am used to. That West Coast style and it will be fun getting to work on new systems and things that we are familiar with, me and the guys.""
