Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams had another excellent statistical season in his first go-round with the Silver and Black.

Adams caught 100 passes for 1,516 yards and 14 touchdowns in 2022. He was named to his sixth straight Pro Bowl and his third straight First-Team All-Pro. Adams continues to be one of the best wide receivers in the NFL and one of the best overall players in the league.

As he looks to have yet another elite season in 2023, odds makers expect him to have one too. Adams has the fourth-highest odds of winning the NFL Offensive Player of the Year award at +2000.

The players with the highest odds are wide receivers Ja’Marr Chase of the Cincinnati Bengals and Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings. Right in front of Adams are running back Christian McCaffrey of the San Francisco 49ers and Austin Ekeler of the Los Angeles Chargers.

Adams is tied with wide receiver Tyreek Hill of the Miami Dolphins and quarterback Justin Fields of the Chicago Bears.

Adams is near the league's top in several receiving categories each year. He was third in the NFL in receiving yards and led the NFL in receiving touchdowns last season.

To win the award, Adams will likely have to lead the NFL in at least one category again, and leading two would help. For context, Jefferson won the award last season after leading the NFL in receptions and receiving yards. Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp won the award in 2021 after leading the NFL in all three.

The Raiders can also help Adams win the award by winning games. Voters will always be more inclined to vote for a player whose team is successful. While Adams’ stats are impressive, they would be more impressive on a Raiders team with a winning record.

Adams will undoubtedly have another successful season this season, as he has posted elite statistical seasons year after year. If he can take his game to another level, he would not only help the Raiders win more games, but he could also get some impressive hardware.
