Raiders Defensive Grades for the 2023-24 Season
The Las Vegas Raiders defense finished as a top-10 defense for the 2023-24 NFL regular season.
According to Pro Football Focus, the Raiders' defense finished the 2023-24 NFL regular season with the ninth-ranked best defense in the NFL.
Five Raiders finished the 2023-24 NFL regular season with high Pro Football Focus defensive grades, and it started with defensive end Maxx Crosby.
Crosby had the highest defensive PFF grade on the Silver and Black defense. He finished the season with a PFF defensive grade of 92.0, a run defense grade of 92.7 and a pass rushing grade of 83.9.
According to Pro Football Focus, Crosby is the fourth best edge rusher in the NFL. In his fifth season with the Silver and Black, Crosby ended the season with 55 solo tackles, 35 assists, 14.5 sacks and one fumble recovery in 17 games.
Raiders edge rusher Malcolm Koonce had the second-highest PFF defensive grade for the Silver and Black defense. He finished the season with a defensive PFF grade of 81.3, a run defense grade of 66.3 and a pass rushing grade of 78.9.
According to Pro Football Focus, Koonce is the 21st-best edge rusher in the NFL. He finished the season with 32 solo tackles, 11 assists and eight sacks in 17 games.
Linebacker Robert Spillane has the third-highest PFF defensive grade for the Silver and Black defense. He finished the season with a defensive PFF grade of 77.0, a run defense grade of 89.0 and a pass-rushing grade of 87.1.
According to Pro Football Focus, Spillane is the 18th-best linebacker in the NFL. In his first season with the Silver and Black, Spillane finished with 82 solo tackles, 66 assists, three and a half sacks, one fumble recovery and three interceptions in 17 games.
Las Vegas Raiders defensive grades of the 2023-24 NFL regular season
Cornerback Jack Jones has the fourth-highest PFF defensive grade for the Silver and Black defense. He finished the season with a PFF defensive grade of 71.6, a pass rushing grade of 69.4 and a coverage grade of 71.9.
According to Pro Football Focus, Jones is listed as the 31st-best corner in the NFL. He finished the season with 20 solo tackles, five assists and two interceptions in seven games for the Silver and Black.
Lastly, cornerback Tre'von Moehrig has the fourth-highest PFF defensive grade for the Silver and Black defense. He finished the season with a PFF defensive grade of 70.2, a pass rushing grade of 64.7 and a coverage grade of 68.0.
According to Pro Football Focus, Moehring is listed as the 33rd-best cornerback in the league. He finished the season with 65 solo tackles, 18 assists, two sacks and three interceptions in 17 games.
