The Las Vegas Raiders continue their efforts to bring back many of their free agents.

The Raiders announced on Saturday that they had re-signed linebacker Curtis Bolton to a one-year deal. Bolton joined the Raiders in August of 2022 and appeared in eight games, posting five total tackles. The details of the contract have not been reported.

Bolton was undrafted out of Oklahoma in 2019 and signed with the Green Bay Packers, spending time there before making other stops around the league with the Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, San Francisco 49ers, and Detroit Lions.

Bolton debuted for Las Vegas in week five against the Kansas City Chiefs after spending the first four weeks of the season on the practice squad.

That was only his second time on an active NFL roster. He made one tackle in the Raiders' loss and one in each of the Raiders' games against the Colts, Los Angeles Chargers, Los Angeles Rams, and the New England Patriots.

Bolton is one of nine players the Raiders have re-signed and is the first of their linebacking corps to be brought back. He joins recently signed Robert Spillane as one of two linebackers the Raiders have signed during this free-agency period.

The Raiders needed to add depth at the linebacker position, and Bolton provides that, as well as an able body on special teams. General Manager Dave Ziegler has prioritized bringing back the team’s own free agents and continues that trend with Bolton.

The NFL Draft will occur at Union Station in Kansas City, Mo., from Thursday, April 27 to Saturday, April 29. ESPN, ABC, and NFL Network will broadcast all seven rounds.

The 2023 NFL Year and Free Agency period began at 4 p.m. EDT on March 15. The Raiders are expected to be significant players in the free-agent market this season.
