Raiders Host TE Dakota Allen For Top-30 Visit

The Las Vegas Raiders continue to deepen their tight end room this offseason.

The Las Vegas Raiders have had to adjust quite a bit with their tight end room this offseason, and this month's NFL Draft could be an opportunity for the club to continue to broaden it.

The Raiders hosted Eastern Kentucky tight end Dakota Allen for a Top-30 visit recently, according to Tristen Kuhn of The Wrightway Sports Network.

Allen was an ASUN All-Conference honoree for the 2022 season after he registered 353 yards and three touchdowns on 26 receptions in only five games. He posted a career-high 118 receiving yards against Eastern Michigan in the season opener.

The young tight end's college career would come to a close in the team's fifth game of the season when he endured a season-ending leg injury.

Allen had a great 2021 campaign, as he appeared in 11 games for the Colonels. He posted 440 yards and five touchdowns on 34 receptions.

One of the more unique traits about Allen is his versatility, as the prospect actually played quarterback for Eastern Kentucky in his first three active seasons.

In 2020, his redshirt junior campaign, Allen made two starts and threw for 319 yards and a touchdown on 30 completions. He also rushed for 65 yards and a touchdown.

In total, Allen finished his career at Eastern Kentucky with 821 receiving yards and eight touchdowns.

The 2023 NFL Draft will go from April 27-29 and be held at Union Station in Kansas City, Mo. The 2023 NFL Year and Free Agency period began at 4 p.m. EDT on March 15.

The Raiders are expected to be significant players in the free-agent market this offseason.
