The Las Vegas Raiders begin their head coaching interview process this week, but many of the team's top players believe the decision should have already been made.

Stars like defensive end Maxx Crosby and wide receiver Davante Adams have made it known that if it was their choice to make, Antonio Pierce would be Las Vegas' full-time head coach going forward.

Many fans within Raider Nation have also expressed their approval for Pierce to get the job, and most recently, it was rapper/actor and longtime Raiders fan O'Shea Jackson, most notably known as "Ice Cube," who vocalized his admiration for the player-favorite candidate when he joined "The Pat McAfee Show" on Monday.

"I think we need to hire AP," Jackson said. "When it comes to the NFL, the athletes are pretty even at the end of the day. And you need somebody that the players listen to, who they'll play for, run through a brick wall for, and when you find that, you can't let it go.

"And the Raiders have that in AP. They really want to play for this guy, and you got to respect it, and let's roll with it, man. What are we waiting on?"

Jackson and Pierce are both natives of the Los Angeles area. Jackson has been a Raiders fan for almost his entire life and is perhaps the franchise's most iconic fan when it comes to celebrities.

"I'll call him [Owner Mark Davis] up," Jackson said. "Maybe I can convince him that -- as president of the Raider Nation, I approve this message."

The support Jackson shows for Pierce is mutual. During his reign as Interim Coach, Pierce was known for playing music from Jackson's former hip hop group, N.W.A at Raiders practices.

Jackson and his group were known for donning Raiders gear during their years of fame.

From February 27 to March 4, 2024, the NFL Scouting Combine will be held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind.

The NFL Draft will be held in Detroit, Mich., on April 25-27, 2024. The Las Vegas Raiders currently hold the No. 13 overall pick.
