Three Raiders Shine in 20-14 Win Over Kansas City
Las Vegas Raiders Interim Coach Antonio Pierces' Christmas wish came true with a 20-14 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.
The Raiders (7-8) are on a two-game winning streak after getting their most significant victory.
Three Raider players shined on Christmas Day in Arrowhead Stadium: one offensive player and two defensive players.
Raiders starting running back Josh Jacobs was ruled out for Week 16 against the Chiefs due to a quad injury and illness. Backup running back Zamir White stepped up and had the best game in his career, finishing with 22 carries for 145 yards, averaging 6.6 yards per carry.
White has 59 carries for 268 yards and one touchdown in 15 games this season.
The Silver and Black defense, yet again, had a phenomenal performance. The entire defense stepped up, but two players were ultimately crucial factors.
Edge rusher Malcolm Koonce had the best game of his career, finishing with six tackles, five solos, three sacks and four tackles for losses.
Koonce has 29 solo tackles, nine assists and seven sacks in 15 games this season.
Lastly, cornerback Jack Jones finished the game with five tackles, four solos and a pick-six interception in the second quarter. He has 25 solo tackles, seven assists and two interceptions in 10 games this season.
Jone continues to show his ability to make an impact for the Raiders secondary.
The Raiders have a short week as they prepare for their Week 17 game against the Indianapolis Colts in Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on Sunday.
The Raiders are the 11th seed in the AFC and second in the AFC West, as their hopes for a wildcard spot are still alive.
The Silver and Black continue the season on New Year's Eve versus the Indianapolis Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Don't miss it on Sunday, December 31, at 1 p.m. EST/10 a.m. PST.
