Pola-Mao has 28 solo tackles, 12 assists, two sacks and one interception in 27 career games for the Silver and Black.

In a recent Las Vegas Raiders Insider Podcast, our Hondo Carpenter Sr. had the chance to share his thoughts on Pola-Mao and why he is a money-year player for the Silver and Black next season. He also mentions how Pola-Mao has similarities to defensive end Malcolm Koonce when entering as a money-year player.

"This guy has shown many flashes, and I am a buyer on this kid," Carpenter said. "He has the potential to be extremely good. He is similar to Koonce, flying under the radar a little bit; Koonce was flying under the radar more, but look what he did in his money-year campaign, last half of the year, he's one of the best, and now he's set himself up for big money the same way with Pola-Mao, I think he's got the shot here."

It will be interesting to see what impacts Pola-Mao can make for the Silver and Black defense next season.
