Zamir White is a Money Year Player for the Raiders
This 2023-24 NFL regular season featured many Las Vegas Raiders who had the chance to step in and make an impact on the roster.
One of those players was second-year running back Zamir White, out of the University of Georgia.
White had the chance to step in and make an impact in the Raiders' running back room late in the season after injuries to starting running back Josh Jacobs.
White finished the 2023-24 NFL regular season with 104 carries for 451 yards and scored one touchdown, averaging 4.3 yards per carry.
According to Pro Football Focus, White ended the season with an overall grade of 71.7, a rushing grade of 70.6 and a receiving grade of 69.7.
Our Hondo, Carpenter Sr., had the opportunity to share his thoughts on White on Tuesday's episode of the Las Vegas Raiders Insider Podcast.
"Zamir showed a lot this year, but next year is the year where expectations are that he steps up," Carpenter said. "There's a chance that Josh Jacobs comes back. I know that Antonio Pierce wants him, but even then, you still want to begin to see the transition to Zamir more, so it's going to be fascinating to watch.
"I am a buyer on Zamir. Zamir, as you may remember, last offseason, I was a big buyer on Koonce, and I am a big buyer on Zamir. I like him, I like his style, I like his personality, I like who he is as a man. I am buying on Zamir, but he's a guy coming into his money year. The Raiders have got to get him more reps next year."
