Less than a week after a historically low-scoring loss to the Minnesota Vikings, the Las Vegas Raiders exploded for what was, this time, a historically high-scoring outing in their 63-21 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Raiders got out to an early 21-0 lead at the end of the first quarter, their most in a first quarter since Week 7 of the 2010 season when they scored 24 first-quarter points against the Denver Broncos.

The Silver and Black would go on to take a 42-0 lead at halftime, which tied for the most points in a half in franchise history, as the only other time it happened was in 1969 against the Buffalo Bills.

By the end of the night, the Raiders had a total of eight players score a touchdown, making Thursday only the fourth time in NFL history such a milestone had been reached in a game. It was the first time to happen since 1950, when the Los Angeles Rams did it.

The Raiders totaled 63 points in the victory, breaking their franchise record for most points in a game. The record previously was 59 points in the aforementioned game against the Broncos.

Las Vegas Raiders running back Brandon Bolden was one of eight Raiders to score a touchdown in his team's 63-21 win over the Los Angeles Chargers on Thursday.

Raiders Interim Coach Antonio Pierce told reporters after the game that the Raiders knew what the record was at halftime.

"I was made aware of it, and we were going to be aggressive, regardless what the score was," Pierce said. "If we only had 21 or 10, we were going to be aggressive and that was our mindset.

"I talked to our team about it last week -- playing better in the second half. I thought we did. This one was playing full second half and not letting off on the gas pedal, and hats off to them because that was their mindset."

Las Vegas' 42-point margin of victory on Thursday tied its fifth-largest in franchise history.

The Silver and Black will return to action versus their AFC West rivals, the Kansas City Chiefs, on Christmas Day in Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. Don't miss it on Monday, December 25, at 1:00 p.m. EST/10:00 a.m. PST.
