Raiders Rookie One of Fastest Players in Madden NFL 24

Las Vegas Raiders rookie Jakorian Bennett has the third-highest speed rating among cornerbacks in Madden NFL 24.

Las Vegas Raiders rookie cornerback Jakorian Bennett hasn't played a down in the NFL yet but is already being recognized as one of the fastest players in the league.

On Thursday, Electronic Arts (EA) revealed its Madden NFL 24 ratings for cornerbacks and tight ends.

Tied for third among league cornerbacks, Bennett was given a speed rating 96.

This rating puts him in the top 10 among the fastest players with revealed ratings.

The cornerbacks with speeds higher than Bennett include Tariq Woolen (98) of the Seattle Seahawks and DJ Turner (97) of the Cincinnati Bengals.

As it stands now, of all players, regardless of position, he trails only the two aforementioned cornerbacks, Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill (99), Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams (98), Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (98), Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marquise Brown (97) and Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Quez Watkins (97) in speed.

Bennett's speed is tied with New York Jets cornerback Javelin Guidry and Minnesota Vikings cornerback Kalon Barnes.

The Raider rookie's overall rating is 71. He also has a 97 acceleration rating, an 89 agility rating, a 90 injury rating, an 87 stamina rating, and an 87 change of direction rating.

Bennett was a back-to-back honorable mention Big Ten selection with Maryland, where he totaled 69 combined tackles, 4.5 for losses, four interceptions, and 29 passes defensed in 27 games.

In his three seasons at Maryland, he followed two years at Hutchinson Community College.

Bennett recorded a 4.30-second 40-yard dash at this year's NFL Combine, the second-fastest time among defensive back prospects.

The Raiders would select the young cornerback in the fourth round (104th overall) of the 2023 NFL Draft.

EA will continue its Madden NFL 24 ratings releases with quarterbacks and linebackers on Friday, followed by punters, kickers, and fullbacks on Saturday.

The Las Vegas Raiders open training camp for the entire team on July 25, 2023.
