Going to a new organization can be difficult, especially when you're leaving a place you've known for a while.

But new Las Vegas Raiders safety Marcus Epps is trying to make the most of it.

The Raiders are nearly to the halfway point of OTAs, but Epps was already comfortable in his early transitioning as soon as Day 3.

Not only is the former Philadelphia Eagles safety confident in himself as he moves through the process of learning a new system, but he believes he can continue to be a leader with a new franchise.

"It hasn't been difficult, really," Epps told the media after Thursday's OTA. "I mean, for me, it's just about being yourself. Same thing I've been doing since college when I was voted captain and had to be a leader there. It's just really the same thing I've been doing my whole career; just being me, and wherever that leads, that's where it goes."

Epps is already looking to build connections with his new teammates as well.

"It's been pretty smooth," he said. "I mean, even last year, I had games where I had to be back there with different guys at safety. So the biggest thing for me is just learning my teammates ... so that no matter who I'm in there with, we have that good chemistry and we're able to communicate well out there."

Epps comes off a trip to Super Bowl LVII as a starter on the Eagles' defense. He notched a career-best 94 tackles, four for losses, a forced fumble, and six passes defensed last season.

Overall, he totaled 203 tackles, four for losses, a forced fumble, and had 15 passes defensed in his three-plus seasons as an Eagle.

The Raiders' offseason workout schedule is as follows:

OTA Offseason workouts: May 22-23, May 25, May 31-June 2, June 12-15

Mandatory Minicamp: June 6-8
